Skyscraper city

Benidorm is often known as the mini ‘New York of the Costa Blanca’. A very apt name, as it has 77 buildings with more than 25 floors: 27 of which exceed a height of 100 metres. In Spain, it is third only to Barcelona and Madrid in the number of skyscrapers.

Poniente Beach

Benidorm has two great beaches: Levante in the north and Poniente in the south. Thanks to their privileged location, they are warmed by the sun’s rays until sunset in the winter, and in the summer, even after 8.

Formerly known as Escata beach, Poniente beach has just over three kilometres of fine sand stretching from the Yacht Club on the north side to Tossal de la Cala at the south, where archaeological remains from different eras have been found. It offers an extensive range of leisure services and equipment rentals, such as floating platforms, beach libraries, children's games, recreational sports, shaded areas for reading, or accessible beach services to help people with reduced mobility enjoy the sea.

Poniente Beach is a select urban beach fully integrated into what is known as Nuevo Benidorm (New Benidorm), an enclave set apart from the liveliest side of town. Between the beach and the town, there is the Paseo de Poniente promenade, inaugurated in 2009 and designed by award-winning architect Carlos Ferrater. Thousands of people walk along it every day, enjoying its tranquillity, beauty, views and the many restaurants, bars and shops that surround it.

The more tranquil nature of Poniente Beach and its residential area attracts a select, cosmopolitan and discerning crowd. Right next to this beach rises the exclusive Intempo Residential Sky Resort.

Discover benidorm

Benidorm is a town in the province of Alicante, in the Marina Baja region, and one of the tourism hotspots in the Valencia area thanks to its famous beaches and nightlife.

The area has everything you could possibly want from your next holiday.

Renting an apartment in Benidorm is your best bet.

Culture and sights

To top off your days enjoying the sunshine, Benidorm offers plenty of cultural attractions and sights. Just some of them are: Torre Punta del Cavall, part of Spanish cultural heritage; Tossal de la Cala (3rd - 1st century BC), an Iberian settlement; Mirador de la Punta del Canfali, where you can see remains of the castle walls from the 14th century, which served as a defence against pirates; and last but not least, the churches of San Jaime and Santa Ana. For the delight of young and old alike, Benidorm has three theme parks: Terra Mítica theme park, Aqualandia waterpark and Mundomar animal park. By renting an apartment in Sunset Drive Benidorm, you will have easy access to all the area’s attractions (nature, sports, beaches, shopping, leisure, motorway access, public transport, airport etc.).

Food

To top it all off, Benidorm also offers fantastic culinary delights for foodies. Red mullet and pumpkin arroz caldoso, anchovy and spinach paella or pebrot (fish and roasted red peppers) are just some of the typical local dishes. If you have a sweet tooth, you will love the traditional local filled ‘coca’ pastries, sweet potato cakes or Bollo de San Blas almond cakes. One of the main benefits of renting accommodation in Sunset Drive Benidorm is that you can pick up fresh local ingredients at the market and cook them yourself.

Beaches

Playa de Levante, Playa de Poniente, Playa de Malpás: Designed for the whole family to enjoy

Golf

Benidorm is not only stunning beaches. It’s also the ideal place to play golf thanks to the mild and sunny climate. At only 3km away from Sunset Drive, you have several courses to choose from for your favourite game: Club de Golf Las Rejas (9 Hole, Par 3), Villaitana Golf Club (two 18-hole golf courses; Nicklaus Design), Club de Golf Sierra Cortina (Pitch & Put 9 Hole, Par 3) and Puig Campana Golf, in Finestrat.

Surroundings

Benidorm will captivate you not only for its culture, beaches and food, but also for its perfect infrastructure for any kind of water sports. As the ideal complement to all the sun and sea, the shopping and leisure on offer will make your holidays truly unforgettable. If you visit in autumn, we recommend a trip to Callosa D’En Sarrià, where you can see the stunning Fuentes de L’Algar waterfalls.
