BENIDORM, skyscraper city
Benidorm is often known as the mini ‘New York of the Costa Blanca’. A very apt name, as it has 77 buildings with more than 25 floors: 27 of which exceed a height of 100 metres. In Spain, it is third only to Barcelona and Madrid in the number of skyscrapers.
Poniente Beach in Benidorm, which is more than 3km long, is a peaceful stretch of fine golden sand with crystal-clear water, and is situated only 100m away from the development.
There are several marinas nearby, with the closest in Benidorm. Those who love to live the nautical life will enjoy the harbours at Villajoyosa and Altea, only a few kilometres away.
In this new neighbourhood under development, there are plenty of services and amenities open.
In a radius of 15km around Sunset Waves, there are 6 magnificent golf courses: Las Rejas, Don Cayo in Altea Hills, Bonalba in Mutxamiel and Golf Ifach in Calpe. Las Rejas Open Club Benidorm is only 1km away from the development, and in less than 10 minutes, you can get to either of the two Nicklaus Design 18-hole golf courses, whilst you enjoy the stunning views across the bay of Benidorm. The first 9 holes of Puig Campana golf course in Finestrat are already open!
New Benidorm
Poniente Beach is a select urban beach fully integrated into what is known as Nuevo Benidorm (New Benidorm), an enclave set apart from the liveliest side of town. Between the beach and the town, there is the Paseo de Poniente promenade, inaugurated in 2009 and designed by award-winning architect Carlos Ferrater. Thousands of people walk along it every day, enjoying its tranquillity, beauty, views and the many restaurants, bars and shops that surround it.
The more tranquil nature of Poniente Beach and its residential area attracts a select, cosmopolitan and discerning crowd. Right next to this beach rises the exclusive Sunset Waves Benidorm apartment building.
